The week-long seminars of the Nida School of Bible Translation are designed to help Bible translators and translation consultants prepare for the work ahead. With a balanced emphasis on both applying current translation theories and building practical skills, these seminars encourage participants to approach translation as a process of intentional interaction with culture, language, ideology, ethics, and institutions.

“Communicating God’s Word must not be limited to the print form of the Bible only, but we need to explore all other possible avenues of spreading the Word in a language that does make sense and touches the heart of an individual whether that be in a form of sign language, song, dance, video, or any form of embodiment or performance.” (Apenisa Lewatoro, BS of the South Pacific)
